Flex Service

RideKC Flex is a demand-response bus service where you book trips in advance within a set zone. Buses pick you up and drop you off anywhere in the zone and connect to other routes.

Guaranteed Ride Home

Guaranteed Ride Home provides commuters up to 2 free emergency rides per year (taxi or rideshare) when they use transit, carpool, or bike to work.

Services Available

For national holidays, we operate schedules that vary depending on where you might be traveling.

Kansas City, Mo. bus routes provide service every day of the year. On New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor, Thanksgiving and Christmas, buses that travel major routes will operate the Sunday schedule.

Johnson County bus routes provide:

No bus or Micro Transit service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
Also note, the 510 K-10 Connector route operates on reduced service depending on when the University of Kansas and Johnson County Community College are in session.

- Regular full schedule resumes: Jan. 17, 2023
- Operates on Break schedule: March 13 to March 19, 2023
- Operates on Summer schedule: May 29 to July 28, 2023

- Regular full schedule resumes: August 21, 2023
- Operates on Break schedule: Nov. 22, and Nov. 24, 2023
- Operates on Break schedule: Dec. 18., 2023, to Jan. 15, 2024

Wyandotte County, Kan., does not provide service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Independence, Mo., does not provide service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Whenever you need translation assistance, simply call one number. Our Regional Call Center can connect you to an interpreter who can translate bus schedule information and questions you may have in more than 50 different languages, everything from Spanish to Chinese to Vietnamese to Swahili. The call center can be reached at 816-221-0660. The interpretive service is available 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
